As the Blake James era finally comes to an abrupt end, Miami search for a new athletic director has begun. Fans have been calling for the firing of Blake James for about a year now, but when Manny Diaz and the Canes failed to live up to high standards again, the heat intensified on James. I for one, was a bit shocked that Miami made this move. Hopefully this is a move that signifies Miami finally wants to get serious about football. Blake James was the first Athletic Director in Miami history to be relieved of his duties. There are a few names floating around for the open position as Athletic Director at Miami. One name I would like to see Miami contact is Baylor AD, Mack Rhoades. If youe not familiar with Rhoades, youe about to be. Mack Rhoades Career TimelineAkron 2006-2009: Mack Rhoades started out at Akron, and helped the school achieve athletic and academic success, which we all know is next to impossible at Akron. For his student athletes, there were a total of 765 total Dean List Honors, 213 All-Conference honors, 83 all academic all-conference honors, and 14 conference player of the year awards, with 14 conference player of the year awards with 12 All-America honors. Another impact that Rhoades tenure at Akron created was the making of a 61.6 million on-campus football stadium. Some very impressive things to accomplish at a school like AkronHouston 2009-2015: Rhoades then made the move to Houston to become their athletic director for 6 seasons. Houston football appeared in 4 bowl games and had a historic 2011 season when the Cougars reached No. 6 in the official BCS standings, finishing with a 13-1 record. It was the first time the program ended the year in the Top 25 since 1990 https://www.mhoutletstore.com/Keyshawn_Smith_Jersey-133. Rhoades also brought in Tom Herman who was later hired as head coach at Texas. Rhoades is also known as a great fundraiser. During his Houston days, they raised nearly $100 Million and constructed $160 Million in new facilities, which included a new on-campus football stadium. Rhoades also spearheaded the construction of a new men and women basketball training facility and golf facility. Missouri 2015-2016: Rhoades then moved on to Missouri as their athletic director for the 2015-2016 seasons. At Missouri, Rhoades and his team developed the student-athlete enrichment program https://www.mhoutletstore.com/Laurence_Seymore_Jersey-119, izzou Made, which focused on life skills and career development among student athletes. His accomplishments during his short tenure at Missouri included the highest grade-point average in school history for student-athletes during the 2015 Fall term. The Tiger swimming team placed a program high 8th at the NCAA Championship, and the women basketball team returned to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2006. Baylor 2016-Current: Rhoades work at Baylor has been exceptional. In the 2019-2020 academic year, Baylor was the country only school to finish the 2019 year with football, men basketball, women basketball, and volleyball all nationally ranked in the polls. All of those rankings inside the top 10. Under Rhoades, Baylor football also advanced to it first-ever Big 12 Championship game https://www.mhoutletstore.com/Gilbert_Frierson_Jersey-16. That same year Baylor played in its first Sugar Bowl since 1957. Both men, AND women, basketball were number 1 seeds in the NCAA tournament. Just for shits and gigs, Baylor also won its first Big 12 championship in program history in Volleyball. Sports overall had a 164-43-3 record during the 2019-2020 years Michael Parrott Jersey. Rhoades helped oversee Baylor ear Foundation which is reported to have more than 20 million in annual donations to Baylor athletics. Since Miami fans want to hear about football, Rhodes hired Matt Rhule in 2016, who currently coaches for the Carolina Panthers. Once Rhule moved on to the NFL, Rhoades conducted a national search and hired coach Dave Aranda. Aranda is already an extremely hot name in 2021 head coaching search for major college football programs like LSU and USC, who recently fired their coaches. Simply put, the guy knows how to find good football coaches. During his tenure, Baylor teams have earned 15 Big 12 titles across all sports. So there you have it, if the Miami BOT and administration don make an attempt to reach out to Mack Rhoades, I not sure what to tell you. Miami cannot afford to miss on hiring an athletic director just as much as it cannot afford to miss on the next football head coaching hire. There have been some names floating around but I would like to see a strong push made for Rhoades. I could imagine Rhoades as Athletic Director combined with Alonzo Highsmith as Director of Football Operations, and I be in heaven. The resume speaks for itself. Make the call. Week 2 wasn nearly as relaxing as a 45-3 season-opening blowout for the Horned Frog faithful, but a win is a win and TCU moves to 2-0. In case you were out tailgating pre-game or had to call it a night after the mid-day kickoff against Cal, the Frogs weren the only power 5 team to play in a weird, not so pretty ball game this weekend. The Buckeyes were dethroned in the HorseShoe, Kansas State squeaked by Southern Illinois at home, and Texas got a first-hand look at what the future holds for them in the SEC. There is plenty to talk about from the second full weekend of college football, but I did my best to compile the most iconic moments from this past Saturday for this week In Case You Missed It.Let get right into it:Jacksonville State runs the state of FloridaIf you haven seen this crazy, last second prayer of a hail mary that Jacksonville State pulled off against the Seminoles, youe missing out.Jacksonville State 59-yard game-winner as time expires to beat Florida State! There is no sugar coating it, Florida State payed the Gamecocks $400,000 to come to town and hand them an L in front of a home crowd. The fact that JSU pulled this off is absurd, and the fact that the Seminoles collapsed the way they did is even more mind boggling, blowing a 10-point lead in the 4th quarter.Blowing a 10-point lead is one thing, but the EFFORT on that hail mary is absolutely abysmal. #3 and #23 should be cut from the team immediately. Disgraceful. I know it easy to have this opinion from the comfort of my couch, but how on Earth could you just accept a loss like that and essentially watch him waltz into the end zone unscathed? At least act like youe trying. The madness doesn end there. After the game-winning play, Jacksonville State pulled a Baker Mayfield and planted their team flag on Florida State midfield logo. Jacksonville State really planted it's school flag on the Seminole logo after upsetting Florida State Slightly disrespectful, but completely necessary. Georgia Tech unstoppable stiff armsWOW. Early candidate for GeorgiaTechFB Play of the Year I know wee only in week 2, but this may as well be the play of the year already. Jordan Domineck looked like a man amongst boys on this one. Let walk through the play.First, Domineck erupts off the line to make a deflection on the QB pitch then scoops it up himself. Second, he embarrasses the Kennesaw State QB with one of the gnarliest stiff arms Ie ever seen https://www.thfoutlet.com/Michael_Onyemaobi_Jersey-71, literally forcing him to do a somersault. Third, he uses his OWN TEAMMATE as a human shield and launches him into the last defender. The Kennesaw State coach should have thrown in the towel right then and there. After a rough week 1 loss to Northern Illinois Ahmonte Watkins Jersey, this kind of swagger and SC Top 10 worthy play is exactly what the Yellow Jackets needed to get going.Horns Down makes the jumbotronWelcome to the SEC, Texas. Remember when the Big 12 announced Horns Down symbols could lead to taunting penalties this offseason? Well, Texas, newsflash: the SEC could care less about your whining Hudson White Jersey.Arkansas Jumbotron with a giant orns Down I love everything about this. I know I not alone in saying that watching Texas lose this past weekend warmed my heart. It like the universe punishing them for their greedy tendencies. All credit to Arkansas, they look to be much improved from their struggle-some past few seasons, but the fact of the matter is they are still a lower tier SEC team. If Texas can beat the Razorbacks on the road, how do they expect to compete with Alabama, Georgia, hell even Texas AM as of late? This was the rude awakening the Longhorns deserved. The college football gods have done us justice.Kicker gets ejected for targetingYep https://www.thfoutlet.com/Ahmonte_Watkins_Jersey-111, you read that correctly. Seeing a kicker make a tackle would be rare enough or highlight worthy enough to make this list, but a targeting call? This is an all-timer.USC kicker just got ejected for targeting on the very first play of the gameOf course glorifying a targeting penalty is always frowned upon, but this is probably the softest targeting call Ie ever seen. For starters, the return man instantly sprung up from the hit to celebrate his return, and the kicker BARELY scraped his helmet with his shoulder. On the FIRST play of the game as well, that juThe kicker looks to be about six foot and a buck seventy at most, the return man will be fine.Unfortunately for the Trojans, this pseudo hit stick would be the highlight of the game for them as Stanford was dominant in this one. After a rough week 1, losing 24-7 to Kansas State, the Cardinal took care of business in the Coliseum coming away with a 42-28 win. https://www.thfoutlet.com/Sam_Jackson_Jersey-132 Chandler Morris Jersey

Monday certainly went full fire alarm with the news that the LSU Tigers are targeting Notre Dame Fighting Irish head coach Brian Kelly as their top man for the head coaching job in Baton Rouge Rylie Mills Jersey. BREAKING: LSU is targeting Notre Dame Brian Kelly as their next Head Coach, per BruceFeldmanCFB Youl have to forgive me for the lateness of this post, and for its briefness. I have been dealing with some personal matters that required more of me than this site today but I can let this slide either https://www.ndfioutlet.com/Axel_Raarup_Jersey-43.So here my take, and it 99.2% opinion (or something like that):Michigan State just paid a ton of money to keep Mel Tucker in East Lansing. Lincoln Riley left the Oklahoma Sooners for the USC Trojans and a boatload of money... coaches everywhere want to get paid. Brian Kelly is no exception, and his agent has sent out the smokescreen for years to help Kelly contract negotiations with Notre Dame. While I 100% believe that LSU is locked in on Kelly as a potential hire, I don believe Brian Kelly would eventually pull the trigger. Listen? Sure but leave Notre Dame for LSU? No.Kelly is at the tailend of his coaching career, because he always stated that he like to do something else after. Does a 5 year stint in the toughest division in the toughest conference in the country sound like a fun farewell? It not like he would be taking over at Alabama and Georgia. LSU has some serious problems right now that need fixed, and most of that fixing will have to come on the recruiting trail against Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Texas AM, Auburn, and on and on. It a tough job that is going to require MORE of Brian Kelly than what he been able to give at Notre Dame and he done an amazing job in South Bend.My theory about Brian Kelly time left at Notre Dame remains the same as far as I concerned. His contract was just extended through 2024, and I have maintained that he will get another extension soon through 2026 with his final year being in 2025. This noise just helps him get a little more coin from Notre Dame as it unfolds https://www.ndfioutlet.com/Kahanu_Kia_Jersey-137. His new home built just off of campus will basically create an unofficial emeritus position for him at Notre Dame along the same lines as Moose Krause had during his retirement. Just my thoughts you may discuss below. https://www.ndfioutlet.com/Kyle_Hamilton_Jersey-57 https://www.ndfioutlet.com/Chris_Tyree_Jersey-73

Air Force and Wyoming have a long history when it comes to football. Their streak of 40 consecutive years of clashes was snapped last year due to the pandemic, and there never been a better time to start a new one.The Falcons have a narrow edge in the all-time series, leading 29-26-3. That record gets a little better when you narrow it down to Falcon Stadium, where Air Force holds a 17-12-1 edge. However, that doesn matter too much right now all that matters is what these two teams have done lately https://www.affoutlet.com/Rj_Long_Jersey-135.On paper, this figures to be a pretty good conference matchup. Air Force is 4-1 with a 1-1 conference record while the Wyoming Cowboys are 4-0 and have yet to open conference play. A win for either squad puts them just one victory away from a potential bowl berth, but a glance at the schedules suggests that the Falcons have the more impressive resume thus far.Air Force has wins over Lafayette, Navy, FAU, and New Mexico under its belt. Those teams aren world-beaters, but the Falcons have thumped them by 20 points or more. The team lone loss came to Utah State, though Air Force had no trouble rumbling to 45 points. After all, this is a Falcons group that leads the nations in rushing (367 Will Trawick Jersey.4 yards per game) and is second in time of possession (37:31).Over on the Wyoming side, theye defeated Montana State of the FCS by just three points. The Cowboys outlasted NIU to the tune of 50-43, thumped a weak Ball State squad 45-12, and barely squeaked past UConn 24-22. You can overlook the Ball State win, but the two-point gap over UConn is the closest the 0-6 Huskies have been to a win all season. Now, let get to how these two teams stack up.Air Force offense vs Wyoming defenseIsaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY SportsWe all know how Air Force plans to approach this game. There no reason to stray from what is working, and the Falcons are leading the entire nation in rushing. Even though the Cowboys have been limiting foes to 148 yards per-game on the ground, there no reason to expect Air Force to change things up.Wyoming has also allowed an average of 23.3 points per game to opponents a full touchdown over what Air Force defense has accomplished. We can sit here and say that Brad Roberts is in line for another huge day after last week, but he may not be. This is a Falcons group that not afraid to roll with the hot hand, so we could see quarterback Haaziq Daniels, fullback Emmanuel Michel, or receiver Micah Davis get the lion share. If Air Force turns to the passing attack, it a good bet that Davis will see the most targets. He and tight end Kyle Patterson currently lead the team with 188 and 81 yards through the air, respectively.Should Haaziq Daniels try to test the Cowboys with his arm, he will have to do so carefully. The Wyoming defense has six interceptions already this year, led by a pair from Chad Muma.Instead, Air Force will likely become very familiar with the tackling trio of CJ Coldon, Easton Gibbs, and Esaias Gandy, which I have been assured are not the names of literal cowboys. All three defenders have more than 20 tackles to their names, with a further five players in double digits https://www.affoutlet.com/James_Jones_Iv_Jersey-113.Air Force defense vs Wyoming offenseIsaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY SportsSean Chambers will lead the Cowboys at quarterback on Saturday, just as he done all season long. Chambers has had plenty of success, tossing for 750 total yards and 5 touchdowns. However, he completing just 58.2% of his passes with 3 interceptions, which could leave some room for a Corvan Taylor pick. The real key to Wyoming attack is running back Xazavian Valladay. He leads the Cowboys with 471 yards of total offense 340 rushing and 131 receiving. Valladay has four touchdowns to go along with his heap of yardage, and he the only Cowboy averaging more than 100 yards per game. Titus Swen (just another incredible name) is Valladay primary backup, though he much more of a threat on the ground with only 16 yards to his name through the air. Both Vince Sanford and Demonte Meeks will have plenty of opportunities to add to their season totals of 25 and 20 tackles on Saturday. This is a Wyoming team that seems to prefer to run, with 172 rushes compared to 98 passes on the year. If someone outside of Corvan Taylor records an interception, it could mean good things for the future of this Falcons secondary. How to WatchWhen: Saturday, Oct. 9 7:00 p.m. ESTWhere: Falcon Stadium Colorado Springs, ColoradoWatch: Rich Waltz, Aaron Taylor https://www.affoutlet.com/Colby_Raphiel_Jersey-93, and Amanda Guerra will have the call for CBS Sports Network.Spread: Most books have Air Force favored by about 6 points, with the over-under set at 46.5. https://www.affoutlet.com/David_Cormier_Jersey-97 https://www.affoutlet.com/James_Jones_Iv_Jersey-113

The ne week, one game at a time mentality echoes around the nation every fall. With an early season loss, the mantra rings true for Arizona State, one of few teams that controls its own destiny in a conference known to collude against its current king. learned this as a player, one of my coaches told me this, a high school coach actually, he said, very game is an important game and every game is a big game because that the only one you play. I learned this in high school, Arizona State coach Herm Edwards said. e said, f you always have that mindset that every game is a big game, especially when you win, then when supposedly these other games, these bigger games the game never gets bigger. It the same amount of time, just a different place.eek 3 loss to BYU still has lasting effects in the Sun Devil locker room https://www.assdoutlet.com/Austin_Barry_Jersey-107. When asked about what he sees from the Stanford offense in preparation for Friday clash, defensive coordinator Antonio Pierce replied bluntly:YU all over again.here no doubt Pierce is referring to the scheme parallels between the two programs. But if you choose to read closer into it, the comment reinforces a less explicit thought: that Pierce and Edwards would not be out-prepared again, and they would not let the lights get too big for the players. Following the beatdown of UCLA, the weekly blueprint is established Evan Burkhardt Jersey. Now it needs to be replicated.Last week, Jayden Daniels earned his first college win over a Southern California conference foe. This Friday, Edwards hopes to check a irst box for himself. In his first three years as coach, Edwards Devils saw the Cardinal once, a 20-13 loss at home in October of 2018.The Cardinal come into the dawn-of-the-workweek faceoff with the conference most valuable win of the year, a 31-24 overtime nail-biter in which Stanford bested No. 3 Oregon in Palo Alto.Stanford, which came into the Oregon game with a bottom-third rated defense in the Pac-12, suffocated the Ducks in the first half. The Cardinal forced two turnovers and a punt on the first three Oregon drives, enough to get ahead by 10, which was also enough to withstand a second-half comeback from Oregon and force overtime. For now, the Cardinal remain 10th in the Pac-12 in total defense at 404 yards allowed per game. The Sun Devils gain the most ground in the conference at over 440 yards per game. Will the Cardinal parlay that defensive success into another impressive game against a quality opponent It will depend on the Sun Devil passing game https://www.assdoutlet.com/Daniyel_Ngata_Jersey-64. Given that Stanford gives up over 400 yards a game, they actually are top of the pack in pass coverage, holding opponents to under 200 yards passing every week. The kicker is that they are horrible against the run. Oregon ran the ball 54 times last week, with three rushers going for over 30 yards. The fact of the matter is that ASU running back Rachaad White is Pro Football Focus ninth highest rated player in the conference, DeaMonte Trayanum is another week removed from injury, and Daniyel Ngata continues to grow. There is not a better team in the Pac-12 than ASU at using the run-game as the primary source of attack.Sophomore Tanner McKee will take the snaps for the Cardinal at quarterback, and his connection with junior receiver Elijah Higgins is working out well. McKee and Higgins connected in the end zone three out of their first five games this year, including one in each upset over USC in Oregon. While his numbers do not blow you away (still yet to throw for over 300 yards), McKee enters the ASU game without an interception to his name. Friday will likely mark the return of Sun Devil safety Evan Fields back from injury. This will be the first time the entire starting secondary will be on the field together to start the game since the loss against BYU, an advantage for the Sun Devils. The only common opponent between these two teams so far was UCLA. While the Devils took care of business on the road, Stanford succumbed to the Bruins in a 35-24 home loss. College football is way too abstract for the transitive property, but on paper, it is the Sun Devils game to lose. https://www.assdoutlet.com/Jordan_Clark_Jersey-48 Ricky Pearsall Jersey

It finally here! It gameday in Charlotte, and in just a couple of hours the Wake Forest Demon Deacons will take on the Wisconsin Badgers in the Duke Mayo Bowl.Without further ado, the BSD staff made their predictions for the game.ElijahWisconsin 45-Wake Forest 38Wake Forest definitely earned this bowl bid. And while I think the matchup may tend to a shootout, I think the Deacs can match the firepower of Wisconsin. Candidly, I have grown up in Big Ten country and think Wisconsin is a program that has always done well and succeeded. Though my heart tells me the Deacs can get it done, I think the Badgers have the talent and coaching to win the game against the Deacs missing Boogie Basham.AdamWake Forest 24-Wisconsin 20I really have no idea who is going to win this one. These 2 teams are pretty much polar opposites who did not play many games this season. One team is going to end up playing to the others pace, and that team is probably going to lose https://www.wfddoutlet.com/Christian_Greene_Jersey-115. If the Deacs can force the Badgers into a situation where they have to throw the ball and score points to keep up with our offense, we should be in good shape.SamuraiWake Forest 31-Wisconsin 24I honestly have no idea what to expect so I going to put forward a totally arbitrary guess and say 31-24 Wake, continuing our string of high-scoring bowl thrillers. CamWake Forest 35-Wisconsin 21I was pessimistic when the matchup was first announced. It a true matchup of a team that hasn really recovered offensively from losing their weapons and doesn look to be getting their wide receivers back, but has an elite defense (Wisconsin) vs. a team that can run up and down the field at a moments notice on offense, but hasn had the best injury luck defensively and looked (generously) rough in half their games this year. My nod goes to Wake on a matter of who returns vs who doesn. Wisconsin appears to be still down Danny Davis and Kendrick Pryor, their top two receivers. They seem like theyl return their starting RB Jalen Berger, but this offense has just been pedestrian at best without those 2. Wake will obviously be down Boogie Basham and Kenneth Walker, but looks to be also down Dion Bergan and Shamar McCollum. They do get back Donavon Greene (with a reshuffling of the wideouts that I bullish on), and a fully healthy Luke Masterson, Trey Rucker, Sulaiman Kamara, Zion Keith, and Coby Davis. It not the full rotation of safeties or defensive players as a whole, but it better than what theye had for 5 of the games this year, especially against UNC and Louisville.I genuinely think this seems like a case of Wisconsin hasn really played good offense. They have great LBs in Leo Chenal, Jack Sanborn, and Nate Herbig, but I not as bullish on the rest of the team. This Wisconsin team has played 1 team in the top 80 in total YPG. Theye played 1 team in the top 60 in PPG, Indiana two games after QB Michael Penix Jr. blew out his knee, and Indiana never really looked the same. The most consistent offense theye played all year was Iowa who whooped on them 28-7. Wisconsin on paper seems like a team that very good at dragging teams into dogfights, but in this weird season they haven really caught an offense that puts up points, yards, or even just plays per game like Wake. Theye only played 2 teams in the top 70 in plays per game: Northwestern (who honestly doesn have a great offense; theye just that good on defense similar to Wisconsin) and Minnesota who 76th with 70.7 plays per game. For reference Wake is 8th with over 80 plays run per game https://www.wfddoutlet.com/Zach_Ranson_Jersey-52. If the Wake offense can get anything going, this tempo is just an absolute nightmare for a team that hasn had to play anything like it all season https://www.wfddoutlet.com. Defensively, well I think having healthy safeties for the first time since Syracuse bodes well for this team as they can play with more confidence in the back and not put the front 7 in unwinnable situations.BartWisconsin 34-Wake Forest 17Wake has had a fun year, but with Wisconsin coming full steam ahead I think we may be in for a bit of pain. They have a solid offensive front and should be able to establish a ground game. I hope the offense can stick with the d, but I see a Wisconsin win in the 34-17 ballpark.EdwardWake Forest 28-Wisconsin 24It really hard to know what to expect in this game with both teams having not played anywhere close to a full season, and Wake having only played one game in a month and a half. However, I think Wake has enough key players participating in this game to make it both competitive and come out on top. Though guys like Carlos Basham Jr. (Boogie) and Kenneth Walker III won't be suited up for the Deacs tomorrow, I like our group on both sides of the ball. Sam Hartman should get settled in early and has plenty of weapons at his disposal in Donavon Greene, Jaquarii Roberson, Taylor Morin, and the rest of the receivers. Christian Beal-Smith provides speed out of the backfield, and let not forget that he too had quite an impressive season with several 100-yard rushing games and several games with multiple touchdowns. The defense should finally have some depth in the linebackers and secondary https://www.wfddoutlet.com/Isaiah_Wingfield_Jersey-129, and I think they can hold their own against a Wisconsin offense that struggled at times to put points on the board. Give me the Deacs in a close one.How do you all think the Deacs will do? https://www.wfddoutlet.com/Ivan_Mora_Jersey-130 https://www.wfddoutlet.com/Sam_Hartman_Jersey-22

Our ow you doing feature is back for year three! Each week we at B5Q will review how each of Wisconsin opponents has fared heading into their contest with the Badgers. After steamrolling Rutgers and Northwestern in consecutive weeks, the No. 18 Wisconsin Badgers (7-3 overall, 5-2 Big Ten) will welcome the Nebraska Cornhuskers (3-7 overall https://www.wboutletstore.com/Semar_Melvin_Jersey-60, 1-6 Big Ten) this weekend for the final home game at Camp Randall this season.Senior quarterback Adrian Martinez shoulders much of the load on offense for Nebraska.Barbara J. Perenic/Columbus Dispatch / USA TODAY NETWORKIn an attempt to preview what to expect on Saturday, let take a look at how Nebraska has looked so far this season. Loss at Illinois 30-22Win vs. Fordham 52-7Win vs. Buffalo 28-3Loss at Oklahoma 23-16Loss at Michigan State 23-20Win vs. Northwestern 56-7Loss vs. Michigan 32-29Loss at Minnesota 30-23Loss vs. Purdue 28-23Loss vs. Ohio State 26-17Status of the offense:Nebraska has had a rough year, and they will miss bowl season for the fifth consecutive season, but they have been able to move the football this year. The Cornhuskers rank No. 16 in total offense and have a balanced attack with both their rushing and passing offense ranking No. 34 nationally. The primary player that opponents must worry about with Nebraska is quarterback Adrian Martinez who has seemingly been in Lincoln forever. The dual-threat signal-caller leads the Cornhuskers in both rushing and passing, with over 3,000 total yards and 25 total touchdowns on the year. While Martinez is a talented player and can hurt teams with his ability as a passer and as a runner, he has a flair for turning the ball over in crucial situations. In 10 games this season he has thrown eight interceptions and has also fumbled the ball seven times (three of which were turnovers), an area that has haunted him his entire career. In 38 games with the Cornhuskers, he has 34 fumbles with 18 of them lost to the other team. The running tandem of Adrian Martinez and Rahmir Johnson have combined for just under 1,000 yards this season.Dylan Widger-USA TODAY SportsBeyond Martinez, redshirt freshman running back Rahmir Johnson has seen the bulk of the carries in the backfield. He is averaging 4.4 yards per carry and has managed 495 yards and four touchdowns on the season. He was a good recruit coming out of high school, and he has definitely emerged as their top back. Montana transfer Samori Toure is the primary receiving threat for Nebraska. At 6-foot-3 he is a longer receiver who has shown the ability to generate big plays. He enters this weekend's contest averaging nearly 22 yards per reception and he has over 700 yards and four touchdowns on the season Garrett Rand Jersey. The rest of Nebraska receiving corps is also taller. Standing 6-foot-9, tight end Austin Allen is a physically impressive receiving thrseat. He is second on the team with 29 receptions and he averages just over 40 yards per game. Opposite Toure is Omar Manning, who is 6-foot-4 and is third on the team in receptions and yards. How Wisconsin accounts for the length of Nebraska passing attack will be interesting to watch. Nick Henrich (No. 42) and Garrett Nelson (No. 44) are two of the top defenders for Nebraska.Photo by Adam Ruff/Icon Sportswire via Getty ImagesStatus of the defense:Nebraska has been much better defensively this season. They received unfortunate news this past week when senior leader JoJo Domann went down with a season ending injury, but the Cornhuskers still have an incredibly young linebacking corps led by Nick Henrich, Garrett Nelson and Luke Reimer, all of whom are listed as sophomores or freshmen, to fall back on. As a unit, the Nebraska defense ranks No. 53 in total defense, No. 27 in scoring defense overall. However, the Cornhuskers have been better against the run (No. 39 in FBS) than the pass (No. 64 in FBS).While Nebraska defense only ranks No. 97 in the country at getting to the quarterback, they do have 10 different players that have recorded at least one sack this season. Outside linebacker Garrett Nelson leads the team with four this year, and he also leads the team with 10.5 tackles for loss Graham Mertz Jersey. Beyond their linebacking group, the player to keep an eye on is senior safety Deontai Williams. He is fifth on the team in tackles and leads the team with four interceptions this season. Williams has played particularly well the past two weeks, with 15 tackles and two interceptions. He is a player that Graham Mertz will need to monitor come Saturday. Deontai Williams (No. 8) and Cam Taylor-Britt (No. 5) are the two top players in Nebraska secondary. Photo by David Berding/Getty ImagesCornerback Cam Taylor-Britt and defensive lineman Ben Stille are also key players that Wisconsin will need to account for on this experienced Nebraska defense. Stille does not put up gaudy stats, but he is a good player that plays his role very well. Taylor-Britt leads the Cornhuskers in pass breakups with nine, and was a Second-Team All-Big Ten performer a year ago https://www.wboutletstore.com/Garrison_Solliday_Jersey-124. Overall:On a down to down basis, Nebraska is a much better football team than their record states. However, special teams, poor coaching decisions, and bizarre turnovers at the most inopportune times have haunted this football team. Their defense is greatly improved and their offense still has firepower at times.
